Israel Education Seminar September 23rd and 24th, 2016
On September 23rd and 24th, 2016, there was an Education Seminar in Ein Hod, Israel, a quiet and scenic artists village in the North of the country, near Haifa.
The Seminar covered Course 1, Module 2a. It was given by George Bebedelis, director of the ISSE-SE, and Marianne Meyer, co-chair of the Education Committee, and director of the ESSE. After some key remarks on the previous seminars, the subjects of the Environment and Culture of Love, the Teacher as Exemplar of the Human Values, Integral Relationship of Human Personality and Human Values, the Pedagogy of Sathya Sai Education: Integral Education, and an Overview of the Five Techniques, were presented. A workshop took place where many groups of participants discussed the topics with great interest, then reported to the whole group.
Forty people attended. Most of them had already attended one or two of the previous seminars. The participants came from the Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze and Hindu populations of the country. The atmosphere was excellent, characterised by both seriousness and a keen desire to learn, and joy, warmth and lightness.
